Experience of College Course-- Composition 1 summer online course

I love to study. Everyone who knows me calls me a bookworm. I am so much into reading and studying. Maybe that is the reason that while everyone is enjoying summer break I planned to take a summer online course of composition 1. I am almost at the end of it now and I have enjoyed every day and every assignment of the course. There were days when I felt overwhelmed with my works and assignments but they all went away very nicely. I must agree this was not as easy as the other long semester classes. It was pretty fast and sometimes hectic. This summer I was enrolled in two courses and both required complete attention and time. Being a full-time worker, I could not give my best shot on some of the topics, but I did pretty well. I am happy with myself till now. I am planning to apply for Nursing so I should learn time management and focus.  I suggest anyone trying to take composition 1 classes to go for full semester-long classes rather than 4-8 weeks class. It will help with the grade...

My Experience In A Indian Weeding

Image
Weeding tradition and culture varies between ethnic groups, countries, cultures, and much more things. Two people in love are bonded together with special vows, gifts, blessings in a special way. I love to see people getting married to their loved ones and I wish that may all had a life of a fairy tale. I don't have any plans of getting married but I get excited about marriages.    A week ago, my friend called me and told me about her marriage. I got excited more than her. Being an Asian, I always look forward to some Asian cultures so I can feel at home. I love all the cultures but getting close to the one I am familiar with gives me different vibes. She is an Indian girl and getting married to an Indian guy. Indian marriages have a very long list of events. The first thing I did was shopping. I bought few ethnic wears for the events. I also got some jewellery. I was so excited to go and enjoy it.   A couple days before marriage was a Haldi ceremony where I was inv...

Food is love: Potatoes Patties

Image
Food is the only thing that joins all the living creatures in the world. we all need food to survive. If I am talking about me, I don't eat to live; I live to eat. Here is the most recent recipe I tried with my most favorite vegetable- potatoes. There are more than a hundred different recipes of potato dishes. This one is my go-to food. It is basically like a snack. Let's start with the ingredients: Cooking oil Potatoes Cilantro Onions Salt, Pepper Cumin powder Chili powder(optional) Turmeric powder Firstly, we need to boil the potatoes until they are completely cooked. We can boil our potatoes however we like it doesn't make any difference. In the meantime, we will chop our onions and cilantro finely. After the potatoes are boiled, we will remove the skin (if it's boiled with skin) and mash it in a medium-size mixing bowl. Add the finely chopped onions, cilantro and give it a mix. Now, add salt and pepper according to taste and one teaspoon of cumin powder, and half ...

Lets talk about Problems.

We are living in such a world where no one has time for others. Sometimes we don't even have time for ourselves. We are busy with work, study, responsibilities, duties, and all the other things except our personal care. If we are physically ill we treat ourselves; we take care but if we are mentally suffering we try to ignore it. Not just me or a few others, most of the people in our society hide or ignore their mental suffering. When I started having trouble, I couldn't figure out what was going on. It all started from simple sleep problems like insomnia. I had issues with sleeping for quite a while. There were other problems as well but I never considered them as a problem. After, I suffered a lot and could handle my insomnia, IBS, and all other emotional feelings. I went to the doctor but couldn't go to a psychiatrist. It was kind of a shame to go to a psych doctor. However, my physician referred me to a psychiatrist and I went. It was not as bad as I thought. That vi...

Nepal is the second richest country in water resources. The world's largest mountain (Mt. Everest) lies in the land of Nepal. It is rich in cultural norms and values. People are also religiously bonded with each other.  There are countless cultural beliefs and thousands of temples. There are mostly four religions in Nepal- Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam. More than 60% of people follow Hinduism, Buddhism comes second and Christianity and Islam are less than others. Everyone follows their religion and respects others. Along with cultures and religions, Nepal is rich in festivals too. Most of the festivals are celebrated in all the religion. They are filled with cultures, happiness, beliefs, and love. Among these festivals, I am discussing the unique festival today. I haven't heard animals being wor...

FOOD RECEIPE

I am a foodie. I love to cook and eat. I always try different recipes and add my own flavor to them and make them mine. This week I tried a different type of recipe. I decided to try one of the Indian recipes as I like them. It was an easy recipe but not a quick one.  Let's start with the basic ingredients required for the recipe: 1. Plain yogurt 2.Urad dal (coverless black lentil) 3.salt 4.black pepper. 5.cumin powder 6.ginger powder.      These are the ingredients that we will use to make yummy Dahi Vada. Firstly, we need to presoak the lentil a night before making vada. Next morning or evening we will grind the lentil in a blender and make a thick paste out of it. After blending it to make a perfect consistency we will add salt to our taste, black pepper half teaspoon, and half teaspoon of cumin powder. then we will give it a good mix.  Now, we can either deep fry or air fry them making small balls. I tried it both ways, I deep fried some of them and ai...
