FOOD RECEIPE

 I am a foodie. I love to cook and eat. I always try different recipes and add my own flavor to them and make them mine. This week I tried a different type of recipe. I decided to try one of the Indian recipes as I like them. It was an easy recipe but not a quick one.

 Let's start with the basic ingredients required for the recipe:

1. Plain yogurt

2.Urad dal (coverless black lentil)

3.salt

4.black pepper.

5.cumin powder

6.ginger powder.

     These are the ingredients that we will use to make yummy Dahi Vada. Firstly, we need to presoak the lentil a night before making vada. Next morning or evening we will grind the lentil in a blender and make a thick paste out of it. After blending it to make a perfect consistency we will add salt to our taste, black pepper half teaspoon, and half teaspoon of cumin powder. then we will give it a good mix. 

Now, we can either deep fry or air fry them making small balls. I tried it both ways, I deep fried some of them and air fried some of them and there was no difference in taste. We can do it as we want. After we are done frying all of them we will keep them aside and start preparing the base for it. In a medium-size bowl, we will mix 2 cups of yogurt and 1 cup of water. A whisk can be used to mix them properly. 

Then, we will soak our fried lentil balls in lukewarm water for 2 min and immediately squeeze out the excess water. 

It is serving time now. First, we add the four squeezed lentil balls to the bowl and cover it with the base prepared for it. Then sprinkle some cumin powder on top. And if you are a spicy lover like me sprinkle some red chili powder with the cumin powder. This is the yummy, tasty Dahi Vada which is used as an appetizer in Indian or Indian families.
