Food is love: Potatoes Patties


  Food is the only thing that joins all the living creatures in the world. we all need food to survive. If I am talking about me, I don't eat to live; I live to eat. Here is the most recent recipe I tried with my most favorite vegetable- potatoes. There are more than a hundred different recipes of potato dishes. This one is my go-to food. It is basically like a snack. Let's start with the ingredients:

  • Cooking oil
  • Potatoes
  • Cilantro
  • Onions
  • Salt, Pepper
  • Cumin powder
  • Chili powder(optional)
  • Turmeric powder
Firstly, we need to boil the potatoes until they are completely cooked. We can boil our potatoes however we like it doesn't make any difference. In the meantime, we will chop our onions and cilantro finely. After the potatoes are boiled, we will remove the skin (if it's boiled with skin) and mash it in a medium-size mixing bowl. Add the finely chopped onions, cilantro and give it a mix. Now, add salt and pepper according to taste and one teaspoon of cumin powder, and half a teaspoon of turmeric. If you are a spicy lover like me you can add chili powder at this point. Now mix all the ingredients together. After they are combined with each other properly, take a golf ball size amount of mixture in your palm and press it with the palm so that it gets the shape of a cookie. After all of them are ready to be cooked, you can either deep fry or air fry them. I love fried foods but they are not healthy. So I usually choose to air-fry them. 

 Now, let's preheat our air fryer to 400 degrees and lightly spray it with cooking spray or oil brush it. Then, we put our patties inside the cook it for 7-10 minutes on each side until it turns golden brown and the outer part is crispy. 

 It may sound like a lengthy and difficult procedure but it is not. It is an easy and quick snack when you are craving a different type of snack.

It is Indian food that is very common among Asians.
